D1 Random Grassland Encounters

1. A solitary ranger is tracking a large beast that has been terrorizing the nearby villages. He is hesitant to accept help, but if the players are persuasive, he may allow them to accompany him and join in the hunt.
   
   
2. A shepherd tends to his flock of sheep, humming an ancient tune.
   
   
3. You see two pixies having an argument over a flower. One claims it's theirs, while the other insists it belongs to the forest.
   
   
4. The distant roar of a thunderstorm hints at coming weather.
   
   
5. An ancient, magical herb has sprouted in the grassland, coveted by a nearby tribe of centaurs. They warily observe the party, demanding they either retrieve the herb for them or risk open conflict. Only through negotiation and strategy can the adventurers hope to avoid bloodshed.
   
   
6. As the players are resting, they see a lone figure standing in the distance. Upon closer inspection, they realize it is a scarecrow, but it seems to be moving and beckoning them closer. Is it just an ordinary scarecrow or something more sinister?
   
   
7. The remains of a campfire indicate that travelers recently passed through.
   
   
8. The party sees a group of bandits fighting each other. If the party approaches, they will run away.
