D4 Random Dungeon Encounters

1. A group of peasants are arguing with each other in a nearby room because they are afraid of being killed by kobolds who are hiding in a nearby room. The kobolds will emerge from the room and attack the party after the peasants are killed or driven away by the party.
   
   
2. Players find a skeleton in a pile of treasure. It's holding a sword made of silver. If anyone tries to take the sword, the skeleton will slowly stand up and attack.
   
   
3. The players find an ancient riddle carved into the wall. A successful Intelligence check is required to decipher it and reveal a safe path forward.
   
   
4. A shape-shifting creature mimics a beloved companion or family member, tricking the players. Discovering the impostor is a painful betrayal but necessary for survival.
