D1 Random Arctic Encounters

1. The trail widens at this point and continues on through a small valley. A group of 1d4+2 orcs are sitting around campfires eating and drinking with their weapons close at hand. If attacked, they will fight with great ferocity. They are looking for slaves and will take prisoners if possible. They are looking for an orc witchdoctor to kill him for his magic and for not allowing them to go scouting for better hunting grounds.
   
   
2. A group of 1d4+2 dwarves are being attacked by a group of 1d4+2 half-orcs. The reason for the battle is unknown.
   
   
3. The party comes across a shipwreck with the body of a sailor. If the players investigate, they will find that the sailor was killed by a giant. The giant will be surprised by the players and attack them. The giant is a level 2 brute named Bork.
   
   
4. The party finds a lone yeti, sobbing over a broken snow globe. It turns out to be a cursed prince. If the party can find a way to break the curse, they will be handsomely rewarded.
   
   
5. A group of orcs are running from the dragon instead of fighting.
   
   
6. All around you, the trees are dead. Luckily, the party stumbled across this place before the fire creatures did. The party is safe for now, but their boots are toast. The scorched trees have little in the way of branches, but still have a few frozen berries on them.
   
   
7. A polar bear is napping on top of a large boulder, which has been covered with snow. The snow has been disturbed and there are tracks, indicating that something else was sitting on top of the boulder before the bear woke up and scared it away.
   
   
8. Yawning chasm filled with dangerous, hungry dire wolves.
   
   
9. A 5-member sleigh carrying rare furs and wolf hides is carrying the furs and wolf skins back to the village. A group of 1d4 polar bears are attacking the sleigh. The polar bears are large and hungry, and will attack the players as well.
   
   
10. A group of 2d6 men are looking for work. They are willing to do anything the party asks of them for an equal amount of gold pieces and food and water for 2 months' time.
